Being the girl you want to be starts with having a positive attitude and a strong sense of self-confidence. It means being courageous enough to take risks and believe in yourself. It means having the drive to work hard and pursue your goals. It means being kind, compassionate, and respectful of others. It means being creative, open-minded, and willing to learn from new experiences. It also means being honest and humble in your successes and open to constructive criticism. Most of all, it means being true to yourself and loving who you are.

Give yourself some time every day—even if just for a few minutes—to take care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Take a walk outside on your own or with a friend; read a book; do yoga; meditate; get your nails done; watch something funny on Netflix… whatever makes YOU happy.
And once you’ve practiced self-love and self-care for a while, keep going! Because when we treat ourselves well and feel good about who we are as people and where we’re going in life, it’s easier to stand up for ourselves when someone tries to put us down or make us feel less than worthy of respect.
